Colombian food took me by surprise. I had expected rice, beans and good coffee, but what I didnt expect was the incredible diversityhearty (and heavy!) mountain dishes, fresh coastal flavors, and yes, even toasted ants. Some dishes I loved, others not so much (sorry, arepas). But food is such a huge part of traveling, and trying everything, even the weird stuff, made my trip even more memorable.
